The Year in Review

The year began very relaxed, after a trip to Australia we made it back home to NOLA in time for the New Year.
In February we said good-bye to a wonderful Man, Father, Grandfather and Husband, Donald Gallup. He was Hounge's grandfather who also raised him for a time in his life.
I also went ice fishing for the first time.
May was very busy and exciting for us. I graduated with honors and Married the Man of my dreams 2 weeks later. Huge amounts of family and friends were able to celebrate with us, and many traveled great distances, thank you.
The Honeymoon was wonderful, and we traveled a great distance to see amazing places, Paris, Rome, Athens, along with a week and a half relaxing on a beach in the Aegean Sea. I am a very lucky girl.
August was a very busy month as well, we traveled to Idaho for the annual, and the big surprise was the wedding of our friends Mike and Caroline. It was beautiful. A week later we moved all the way up north to Montana, in a 26ft Penske with my bug on a trailer. Hounge made record time and we got here in no time at all.
The first week of September we were in Colorado for the fantastic wedding weekend of our friends Ace and the lovely Amy. We met so many great new people.
I have taken a couple of classes at UM and have applied at a few schools for the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. Please keep you fingers crossed for me.
Thanksgiving- where to begin, our home was full and happy. We celebrated to holiday with Kay and Howie, Tuna, Anne, Laural, Wade, Natalie, and Lane. Kelly and his new wife the Lovely Amy, Nic, and Stevie Bill and Dave Manson came in from Cambodia. Along with our locals- Dave, Deby, Taylor and Conner. Tina, and Kari and her Family.
We were able to spend the end of the year and into 2009 visiting family all over Montana and Wyoming. We even got to watch Hounge's brother Randy compete in the Montana Circuit Finals in Bareback, he came in 3rd overall for the 3 night competition. It was awesome to watch.
We spent New Year's Eve at The Sip and Dip a bar with a pool and a mermaid and a piano player. We rang in the New Year with Tina and Ben and a better time could not be had.

Holidays

The weather has been pretty cold up here in Montana, and the rivers are partially frozen, some are completely frozen. People are out ice fishing on the lakes. The wind blows alot east of the Rockies, and sometimes you can't see the road from the snow blowing across it. The picture from in the truck shows how cleared the road was two vehicles behing the orange snow plow. Thankfully Hounge is a great driver.

I would post more pictures, but it looks pretty much the same out there.

A very snowy day

Sophie's first real snow at the house, she sure seems to enjoy it. There is plenty of frolicking when we do go outside. But I do have to admit I have only gone outside 2 or 3 times today. Burr. the high was around 20F and now it is down to a cool 8F at 4:30pm. Looks like it is shaping up to be a cold night.
